DM Civil Transitions To Latest SEQ Accreditation

October 2016

DM Civil showcases their core principle of ‘commitment’ with their industry-leading dedication to continual improvement.

In August and September of this year, DM Civil gained accreditation to the updated Environmental and Quality Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015). DM Civil transitioned from the old standards under the scrutiny of new auditors, ASSSA.

Normally companies have 3 years to achieve compliance; as a result of the determined effort of the SEQ Department, DM Civil completed accreditation in less than 12 months of the standards’ release. DM Civil achieved compliance to these new versions by:

  • Attending workshops and international webinars;
  • Research;
  • Gap Analysis between the old & new standards (including 3rd party audit);
  • Meetings with senior management about the changes;
  • Development and roll-out of completely new systems compliant with the new standards.

The new ISO standard for Safety is expected mid next year to replace the current AS/NZS 4801:2001. DM Civil plan to transition to this new standard within 12 months of its release.

This new level of accreditation shows DM Civil’s dedication to SEQ as an important and integrated part of their operations.
