• For a successful project, a multidisciplinary civil contractor was required. DM Civil’s experience in both pipelines and detailed civils resulted in a high-quality finished product, completed without incident or non-conformance, exceeding the expectations of the client.
• DM Civil’s resourcing with experienced multiskilled personnel and fully owned plant enabled us to meet increasing scopes and changes with ease, and to assist our client with delivery of their own work scopes. Our supervisors, operators, pipelayers and fleet of earthmoving machinery regularly moved between the pipeline and facility scopes to accomplish the common goals of the project, completing complex tasks and assisting the client wherever possible.
• The project scope was varied from the outset, with regular challenges presenting each week, as redesigns and other circumstances arose. The site also experienced significant flooding, with some of the heaviest rains on record occurring during construction, resulting in untenable working conditions requiring remedial works to flood affected pipe trenching. Site access constraints and rescheduling had an adverse impact on an already tight program of works. The site project team had to manage this along with each other challenge.
• Highly skilled personnel and quality equipment enabled DM Civil to carry out the complex tasks associated with high pressure gas infrastructure. Multi-crane lowering of long pipe strings, GPS guided earthworks and trenching, and detailed installation of pipework and concrete structures was an every day occurrence. The DM Civil management group and site resources managed
  to deliver project completion on time for gas to flow to the end user without delay.

Despite the challenges of the project including the ever-increasing scopes, DM Civil committed to delivery and supported our clients throughout. DM Civil was commended by APA Group for our attention to detail and a high quality finish, and the ability to proactively find solutions in the face of challenges.
