DM Civil has extensive experience in remediation of contaminated sites. We have undertaken this process for various government and private clients to remove asbestos, heavy metals, hydrocarbons and non-toxic dump materials.

The techniques required for handing and removal of these substances are generally prescribed by environmental experts who rely on our knowledge of construction techniques to integrate health and safety protocols to give practicality to the process.

Clearing operations are generally carried out by our registered subcontractors, where substantial growth is to be removed and downsized. The process is controlled by the DM Civil project management team to ensure compliance with final landscaping design as well as any environmental constraints listed in the contract specification.

With out in-house survey capacity and our own plant and equipment, DM Civil can prepare the cleared site to the bulk earthworks design configuration to allow the remaining civil works to proceed.

Our in-house capability for road construction allows DM Civil to construct any specified pavement. Our trained operators using 3D machine control, are able to build roads to the designs received, using survey models manipulated by our survey team and installed into the machine control modules of our motor graders and other earthworking equipment.

Our roadworks teams and engineers are familiar with a range of design and construction standards managed by local government authorities across the state in addition to MRWA works.

Where retaining walls are included in the contract scope, DM Civil has a number of quality subcontractors that are able to provide limestone block wall building services for gravity retaining walls. These subcontractors are managed by our construction team, who carry out enabling earthworks and backfilling and compaction.

Where reinforced concrete cantilever design walls are specified, these are built with in-house capability by our concrete construction division.

DM Civil commenced as an underground services contractor and we are experienced in the installation of all aspects of stormwater drainage infrastructure. This experience extends to reinforced concrete (RC) pipe, RC box culverts, inlet and outlet structures with headwalls and rock pitched or RC aprons.

Sewer infrastructure that is required to service any development becomes a Water Corporation controlled and serviced asset. With DM Civil as a Tier 1 service provider to Water Corporation, we are well versed in reticulation sewers and any size or complexity of main sewer that may be required as enabling works for a development.

Electrical and communications installations are generally installed under a subcontract arrangement by specialist contractors that are registered under the DM Civil quantity assurance process. Our principle of including our subcontractors in our team ensures that we understand their scope of works, which allows us to make sure that their work is to the correct standard and that it is delivered on programme in conjunction with the overall works schedule.

Should the client choose for the landscaping scope of works to be included in our main contract, DM Civil has extensive experience in the preparation of ground surfaces and other enabling works which allow the landscaping subcontractor to operate within the constraints of the civil works.

Our previous experience allows DM Civil to programme in the various stages of critical access, water supply and protection measures that are required to deliver a quality sustainable finish to our civil works package
