Board of Management announcement

July 2014

The 1st July 2014 sees another progression within the management structure. Reg and Tony move into roles as Chairmen of the Board, continuing to provide guidance and wisdom. Stephen Hall and Jason Toohey will become joint Managing Directors, Bruce Shaw, General Manager – Engineering and Russell Blakely, General Manager – Contracts.

In 1999, Reg Toohey and Tony Spanjers as Managing Directors established the Board of Management at DM Civil. This was implemented to strengthen the management of the company, provide a career pathway for some senior employees and importantly, put in place a transitional process allowing Reg and Tony the ability to do things away from DM Civil.

This initiative, along with the introduction of Associate Board Members and establishment of the Management Team in 2012 has proven to be very successful and allowed the business to seamlessly manage their transition and continue to grow.

These changes provide employees and the wider business community clarity and access to a more traditional management structure and a clear understanding about DM Civil’s functional decision making process.

We take this opportunity to thank all of our valued employees and their families for their continued commitment and loyalty to DM Civil. We also thank our clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors for the strong business relationships formed over the years. For us moving forward, it’s business as usual. We are motivated to continue our commitment to providing quality and mutually beneficial outcomes for all.
