Winners at the 2015 WA Work Safety Awards

On Friday 30th October 2015, DM Civil attended the WA Work Safety Awards. We were pleased to be recognised as finalists in 3 out of the 3 categories entered:

Category 1: Best Workplace Safety & Health Management System

Category 2: Best Solution to an Identified Workplace Safety & Health issue – Front End Loader Kibble Bucket

Category 4a: Best individual Contribution to Workplace Safety & Health – Murray Pich

Having been finalists in previous years, we were thrilled to be named winners in 2015 for Category 2. Loaders are used to transport construction material such as bluemetal from stockpiles to the work area using a detachable kibble bucket. Prior to this solution, workers had to manually connect and disconnect the buckets using chains.The custom-designed and engineered kibble bucket can be attached or detached from a loader without the operator having to leave the cab, lessening the risk of manual task, pinch point and collision injuries and slips, trips and falls.

We thank all of our team involved in creating and implementing this solution. Their collaborative and innovative approach to solving workplace issues is a real asset to DM Civil. This is fantastic recognition for their dedication and hard work – congratulations!
